About Quilty Pleasures

In January, Gari Jones opened Quilty Pleasures Studio at 112 Schoolhouse Lane in Geyserville.
Gari specializes in repairing and finishing customers’ quilts using the Longarm machine.

Why open a quilt store?

“This is why I quilt”

After retiring from the Fire Department Gari was a stay at home mom looking for something just for her when I started sewing with a group of women every Tuesday. My Tuesday women can now be called best friends, and we continue to sew together. Most quilters love the art of designing and sewing the top but are looking someone to finish putting the layers together. Every time I wanted to finish a quilting project I had to drive to Graton, the closest quilter, and wait up to three months. The need was there, and with my machine I can finish the same quilt in about 45 minutes, depending on size.

Gari received her training by some of the best quilting instructors including Irena Bluhm, Linda Taylor and Jamie Wallen to mention a few. Gari is a life long learner and continues to strengthen her skills and push boundaries.

Come by and visit us to see the beautiful applications in person.

Gari did a phenomenal job on my quilt. Her turn around time was very reasonable and the quality of her work showed. I entered my quilt into the fair, and received a First Place ribbon as well as a Best of Show. Thank you for a great job!—C.L.O.

I recently took two wall hangings in to be quilted. Gari did an excellent job on both pieces! Her eye for design and color added so much to the quilts. I highly recommend this Longarm Lady!—J.R
